- If Box A is checked on violation notice, you MUST appear in court at the date, time and place shown. If you cannot make this date, you must contact the court and prosecutor or else it can result in a warrant for your arrest.

- If Box B is checked on your violation notice, you can either pay the fine before your court hearing date or appear in court.

WHAT TO EXPECT REGARDING COURT DATE
- CVB Violation will be heard at the U.S. District Court in Oxford, MS 911 E. Jackson Ave. Oxford, MS 38655
- Court begins at 10 am and the hearing date is printed on the ticket There will be a sign-in sheet which is typically worked by first come, first serve, but that is not always the case. To prevent delays, it’s best to arrive early enough to obtain parking and to have enough time to go through the screening process. Metered parking is available in the downtown area of Oxford, including a lot on the corner of 9th Street and Jackson Avenue, which is across the street from the Federal Building. There is also a parking garage located on Jefferson Avenue between North Lamar Avenue and 9th Street. The 2nd-4th floors are free parking, and the 1st floor is metered. - Leave all electronic devices (cellphones, laptops, etc.) in your vehicle Electronics are not allowed inside the building.

Please understand that once your email is sent that it will take a few days and possibly weeks to get back to you as there are several violation requests that come through and they all deserve the same attention as your matter, so be patient and you will hear from them regarding your ticket. Also important to note that the information regarding the ticket isn’t readily available to them until the week before the court hearing so they just might not be able to answer your question right then.
