Transcript Request Instructions

Fill out a request for all categories that apply:

To request a transcript of a hearing where a court reporter was present:

  1. Email the court reporter that covered the proceeding for an estimate.
  2. Fill out the applicable request form (include the estimate) and docket the request in the case using the applicable event “Transcript Request” or “Appeal Transcript Request”.  If you are not counsel of record in the case, email the completed form to the Clerk’s Office at ecf_information@msnd.uscourts.gov.
  3. Remit payment to the court reporter.
  4. The Court reporter will complete the transcript and send it to you.

 

To request audio:

  1. Fill out the Audio Recording Order Form AO 436.
  2. Docket the completed form in the case in which the hearing was held using the event “Audio Request”.  If you are not counsel of record in the case, email the completed form to the Clerk’s Office at ecf_information@msnd.uscourts.gov.
  3. The Clerk’s Office will contact you to arrange payment and transmittal of the audio recording.  Please refer to the court’s Fee Schedule for the fee for reproduction of audio recordings.

 

To request a transcript of a digitally recorded hearing:

  1. Email the court reporter for the Judge that held the hearing for an estimate.
  2. Fill out the applicable request form (include the estimate) (available below) and docket the request in the case in which the hearing was held using the event “Transcript Request” or “Appeal Transcript Request”.  If you are not counsel of record in the case, email the completed form to the Clerk’s Office at ecf_information@msnd.uscourts.gov.
  3. Remit payment to the court reporter.
  4. The Court reporter will complete the transcript and send it to you.
